Description
This is the correct 3 piece clutch kit Made by Girling for the Austin Healey Sprite MkI 1098 (10CC Engine) , MKII 1098 (10CC Engine) and MG Midget MKII 1098 (10CC Engine), Midget MKIII (10CC Engine). This clutch configuration is different from the other engine combinations used. With the 1098 engine (which will have the engine markings of 10CC) the clutch disc has the size of 184mm or 7 1/4 inches with a spline count of 10. The pressure plate is also larger for these cars so it can accommodated the larger 7 1/4 clutch disc. Last the release bearing has a different height compared to the other years of cars. It has a height of 1.075 inches from the top of the pivot to the carbon face. It is very important that you have the correct clutch fork (22G168) that was used on the Sprite and Midget to insure proper clutch release.
